Torsten is a sustainability professional and marketing consultant with ten years of experience in sales and marketing. Shortly after moving to New York in 2011 he partnered with Office Kuki, a Manhattan based brand marketing agency with a focus on sustainability. 

In order to provide his growing desire to have an impact with the sharpest toolset possible, Torsten decided to go back to school at the age of 30. He graduated from HCU/HafenCity Universitaet (Hamburg/Germany) achieving a B.Sc. in Urban Planning. The Irene und Friedrich Vorwerk Stiftung, a well recognized non profit foundation, honored his thesis with an award for excellence. Benefitting from the fact that the HCU was a major counselor to help his hometown Hamburg become Europe's Green Capital of 2011, his studies were characterized by a strong focus on sustainability in arguably the world's most advanced market. 

Together with his wife and his sister in law he built up the ASB Foundation, a non profit that supports the people of Koutal, a Senegalese village whose inhabitants suffer from leprosy.
