Seattle-based singer/songwriter Tae Phoenix will release her new record, RISE, on June 12. The revelatory collection introduces Tae as both a profound and fearless songwriter as well as a vocalist of stunning prowess.

With a three-octave range, she punctuates her classical voice training with evidence of a misspent youth imitating the great pop divas. She has played for audiences as far away as Surabaya, Indonesia and Paris, France.

Invoking the vocally muscular female singers from the '80s, like Pat Benetar and Chrissie Hynde, and the intimate, boundary-less female writers from the '90s like Alanis Morissette and Liz Phair, Tae brings to light many universally shared experiences (loss, abuse, self-discovery) through lyrical storytelling.
