After extensive travel and the challenges of living in diverse cultures as a French diplomat's wife, I settled down in France. I put my considerable linguistic skills to writing, editing and translating on topics from travel to society, politics to science and technology, nature and animals to economics, society to sport and adventure, prehistory and cave art, for a variety of publications, magazines, journals and websites.

I continue working on the English texts for temporary exhibitions at the Musée de l'Homme in Paris after completing numerous translations for the reopening last Oct. My translation of a revolutionary work on the oldest cave paintings known to us, entitled Chauvet Pont d'Arc Cave: The First Masterpiece of Humanity Revealed by 3D came out in last July. Discovered in 1994, Chauvet has just been added to the UNESCO World Heritage list. The sophistication of the animal paintings—mostly wild animals that were not hunted by our ancestors—upset all previous theories about the evolution of art and culture.
