Again William Routsis has handled eight homicide cases that resulted in no convictions which is simply mind boggling for those who practice in the legal community. One of the more interesting cases was the Rodney John Sency case, which concluded with a verdict of not guilty for manslaughter by a jury after a long trial. Mr. Routsis worked on the case for five years and successfully proved to jurors that his client acted in self-defense. Mr. Sency had to defend his life upon a mountain in Northern California. However, Mr. Sency in a panic after a life and death struggle drove the body of the deceased over a mountain near Lake Tahoe and cleaned up the crime scene without calling the police. Mr. Routsis entered the case before the police were aware of what occurred. After years of Motion work and finding witnesses regarding the violent character of the deceased (scattered throughout the country) William Routsis went to trial in Placerville, California. A jury of twelve found Mr. Sency not guilty of Manslaughter in a grueling one month trial. Pleas see newspaper article's attached, as this case was a compelling trial showing self-defense; which was covered almost on a daily basis in Placerville California by the local paper!
