Business

I am a serial innovator/entrepreneur with a unique skill set who makes ideas reality via UXD, 3D Printing, Crowdfunding and Ecommerce. I have generated 1 million with my 1st start up (Dark Energy) and was featured on Forbes (article1 , article 2) and GQ UK Magazine (no link because it’s on the physical mag).

My 1st start up – Dark Energy under my (and my business partner’s) leadership, raised over USD173,000 in 45 days on Kickstarter. We were evaluated at 5 Million dollars just a few months later. We ranked No. 4 in Utah’s Top 25 Start Ups, No. 6 in 2014 Utah Valley Business Mag’s Top 10 Startups.

I have a few very exciting projects that I started either by myself or with friends, but they have been put on pause because I recently got married and am waiting for immigration status change.

So , I am currently on vacation :)

Personal

I am from Hong Kong originally, I moved out of my house when I was 16, since then I have lived and traveled all over the world.

I have many passions and interests, however, I am especially passionate about products, technologies and services that bring people together socially and emotionally.

I enjoy public speaking and building relationships. I spend my spare time listening to audiobooks, going to seminars and studying success-related books.

I like to do things that many normal people wouldn’t do. I lived in the mountains for a summer, in the name of finding myself spiritually. I spent a couple of years helping people quit drugs and alcohol in New York City inner-city neighborhoods.

I am a trained and certified NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) Practitioner and Hypnotherapist, just because 😎

I was with the UN Delegation in Europe on the Committee of the Peaceful Uses of Space Technology, because I met a cool guy at a birthday party and got invited.

As a child, I dreamt of being an astronaut, and I still do. I plan on starting an aerospace related company in the future.

Fun

I believe deeply in investing in oneself, that’s what I do for fun.

Outside of college, I have spent over

USD 20,000 on exchange and study abroad programs,

USD 5,000 on seminars and trainings (signed up for another USD 11,000 worth of training for the next couple of years),

USD 2,000 on audiobooks,

USD 1,500 on books.
