Yolanda E. Simmons, M.S.

Yolanda was a competitive National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) athlete during undergraduate studies. She was awarded a full scholarship for bowling, a sport in which she participated avidly since the age of 3. Remarkably, she was named captain of the team her senior year. In 2007, she completed undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, from Southern University and A&M College. In November 2012, Yolanda received a Master of Science in Entertainment Business, from Full Sail University where she achieved the honors of Salutatorian and Advanced Achiever. She enjoys anything that involves numbers, including budgets, spreadsheets, and game clocks just to name a few. In fact, the sports enthusiast held the position of Treasurer for the Entertainment Networking Society while at Full Sail. During her tenure, her ideas assisted in the acquistion of funds for the first time since the club's creation some years ago. Yolanda also enjoys all things entertaining. The sports industry allows her to explore both numbers and entertainment at once. The volunteer experience is very rewarding for her as well. She has volunteered at various types of sporting events for charities, schools, and general recreation. Most notably, Yolanda was handpicked to work Central Florida Sports Commission's SPORTYS Awards. This is Central Florida's version of the ESPYS. The Hall of Fame Inductees for that year were Jeff Turner, Annika Sorenstam, and Vince Carter. Yolanda recently completed and enjoyed her tenure as a Marketing & Game Presentation intern for the Cleveland Cavaliers' organization, where she assisted with in-game promotions and concourse activities.
