Hi - Namaste - I have been practising yoga for twenty years and teaching for nine. I am a British Wheel of Yoga (BWYDip) teacher and a 'Foundation Course' Teacher and senior 'Yoga Alliance' teacher. Over the years I have studied and practiced many styles of yoga including, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha yoga, yin, restorative with many renown, experienced and inspiring teachers . I am eternally grateful to those teachers for their wisdom and knowledge, I have learned something valuable from all of them which I bring to my own practice and teaching. I believe we never stop learning and I continue my learning by regularly attend intensives and workshops. I am a volunteer on the Norfolk BWY yoga days where I organise on yoga events. I am a writer and write articles for yoga and health and wellbeing magazines. I recall my first yoga class vividly, I was employed in a large Corporate organisation, had a very stressful job and a neck problem, a result of a car accident some years ago. I can remember how wonderful my body felt after that class. At the time I did struggle with 'relaxation' as this was new to me but with practice, I have learned the art of relaxation and how important it is to relax our mind/body and nervous systems. And I love 'yoga nidra'. That teacher really inspired me and was a wonderful role model. That was the beginning of my journey into yoga. Yoga became and still is, a vital part of my life and taught me many things one of which was discipline. My love of yoga grew and hungry for knowledge, I studied the 'BWY Foundation Course' (which I now teach myself). The course fired my passion for yoga even more and being a person always keen to expand my knowledge, learning and experience I wanted to spread the benefits of ' yoga'. I then embarked upon the three year BWY Teacher Training course and I hadn't quite prepared myself for the enormous amount of work and studying this would entail. The teacher training changed my life and each day I am so grateful for the opportunity that yoga presented. I live, love and teach yoga, I run yoga teacher training courses, retreats, classes, acrobatic yoga jams, workshops and one to one appointments. I offer coaching and mentoring, supervision and Health and Wellbeing Coaching. I am a keen raw foodie and eat as close to nature as I can. I am also a keen aerialist e.g. aerial yoga, silks, hoop (lyra) - I love to turn my world upside down, face my fears and step out of my comfort zone.
