Zariq Siddiqui

Born to a British father who worked on the CCGS Hudson icebreaker, Zariq Siddiqui was born in Pakistan, but he spent much of his childhood in Canada’s Nova Scotia province. Zariq Siddiqui and his family spent summers at the Sherwood Forest Camping Park in Antigonish, and he played hockey and participated in the Nova Scotia Legion Track and Field Team, finishing 8th in the country in the 1,500-meter run. Zariq Siddiqui relocated to the United States to attend The College at Brockport, State University of New York, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science.

After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Zariq Siddiqui launched his career at Alling & Cory in Rochester, New York, as a Customer Service Representative. Two years later, he accepted a position with Xerox Corporation as an Executive Territory Manager in Toronto. He was a Partner with Phoenix-based VSA Inc., a specialty restaurant franchiser, from 1993 to 1999. He later assumed the role of Neuroscience Territory Manager with Abbott Laboratories, a major healthcare company with headquarters in Abbott Park, Illinois. In that position, he was responsible for educating doctors on medication for epilepsy, migraine headaches, and bipolar disorder. Zariq Siddiqui was promoted to Regional Training Specialist in 2004, a role in which he learned about the cholesterol, thyroid, and hypertension drug market; led a sales team in selling the drugs; and identified new business opportunities.

In 2005, Zariq Siddiqui became a District Sales Manager for Abbott’s Pharmaceutical Products Division and sought to increase sales of all primary care medication by training, motivating, and coaching his sales team to success. Today, he functions as an Abbott Nutrition District Sales Manager for the company’s pediatric division. Zariq Siddiqui remains a quintessential sales professional. He holds medical representative certification from the Certified Medical Representatives Institute in Roanoke, Virginia, and he is a distinguished Certified Regional Field Trainer. Zariq Siddiqui possesses advanced presentation skills and has completed both the Abbott Laboratories District Manager Development Program and the Leadership Summit.

Zariq Siddiqui runs between three and five miles a day, and he likes to get out on the golf course whenever possible. Mr. Siddiqui is also an avid music aficionado. He enjoys musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, Grease, and The Sound of Music.
