Ann-Marie Alcántara

Ann-Marie Alcántara is a science and tech journalist, focusing on latino/women issues in the field.

Currently, she is freelancing and an Editorial Intern at The Bold Italic.

She was previously an Editorial Fellow in New York City at BuzzFeed and an Editorial News Intern at Mashable in San Francisco.

She graduated from Vassar College, with a degree in Environmental and Urban Studies. Her studies concluded in a thesis titled: "It's Not Easy Being Green: A Case Study of Urban Nature in Three Urban Parks in New York City."

During her time with The Nature Conservancy, she contributed to pieces appearing in The New York Times, NBC Nightly News, The CBS Early Show, Women's Health Magazine, New York 1 News, and The New York Daily News.
