Poet and Writer in Texas

I'm a poet, writer, and mother of 2. I guess I am really more than that but isn't a bio more interested in the basics of a person. I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and raised in the El Paso area of Texas. More specifically Canutillo. I've been a writer most of my life. My love for poetry started because my father would recite poetry to me before I could even read. Once I could read and write, you could find me with a spiral notebook or journal in hand, writing. I love writing. Putting my feelings on the page or creating a world is such an amazing thing. Poetry is my true love when it comes to writing. It has taken me a long time to feel comfortable sharing my poetry because it is the most personal writing for me. I give a bit of myself in each poem and that scares me. I also love painting. Watercolor being my favorite medium.

I love being a mother and my sons are amazing people. I love them more each day and love that as they get older, I can be more than just a mother. Having an adult son means that I step back more and watch him become the best person he can be. He is currently studying Video Game Design Programming and Animation so he teaches me new things all the time.

I hope one day to write something he can turn into what he loves, a video game.

I currently live in East Texas and have no pets (am allergic to cats, dogs, and rabbits) with my sons and hope one day to just pick up and travel from place to place, creating and publishing my work, while exploring the world. For now, I am content living my best life in Texas.
