I'm a freelance journalist, urbanist, and lover of intelligent conversations from The Bronx currently living in Birmingham, AL. I'm always on the lookout for the next adventure - and a baseball game.

It's been a fun one so far. I currently contribute to a column on diversity in journalism for the Poynter Institute. I also work as digital media producer for a local NPR affiliate and as the digital media specialist fora collaborative public media initiative focused on education. I've also maintained an online community hub about Birmingham since 2007; written a monthly column on technology and how it's affecting the city's future for five years; and served on the organizing team for several area projects and various community boards.

When I'm not working online, I enjoy running, cooking, gardening and occasionally practicing my guitar (whenever there's not something wrong with it).
