Adam Smith

Adam K. Smith, a 30-year veteran in the dental field, owns a New York City–based practice founded in 1983. He runs the business and cares for patients at the same time, offering implants, tooth extractions, restorations, and cosmetic procedures. Adam K. Smith dedicates himself to educating his clients in addition to treating them. His web site holds a wealth of information, including videos of procedures and literature on dental health. Prestige followed Adam K. Smith during his education and training. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1978 from the New York University College of Dentistry, which pioneered the use of the X-ray and was the first dental school to establish departments in implant dentistry and endodontics. In addition, Adam K. Smith became one of the first dental students to take forensic dentistry at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. While in college, he trained at Flower and Fifth Avenue Hospital as a blood-gas tech and worked as a night tech for four years. After dental school, Adam K. Smith served for two years with the U.S. Public Health Service, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He served in the us coast guard as a dentist. Adam K. Smith holds membership in the American Dental Association, the world’s first and largest dental association. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the second-largest dental association in the world , achieving fellowship status. Adam K. Smith’s interests outside of dentistry include motorcycles and airplanes. He enjoys reading authors such as Herman Melville, Kurt Vonnegut, and Arthur C. Clarke, and his favorite set of books is the Helliconia Trilogy by Brian Aldiss.
