Adrianna Kowalska

I'm Adrianna Kowalska, EFL (English foreign language) teacher, former EAL (English as an additional language) teaching assistant in London, currently living and working in Torun (Poland).

I have been learning the hard way. I completed my EFL Bachelor Degree in Poland with honours. In 2010, during my second year of undergraduate course, I studied in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) Paisii Hilendarski University. When I turned 21 I decided to do my master degree - TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course in London at the University of Westminster. In 2011/2012 I was a full-time student who joined the university life. Apart from that, I was an EAL (English as Additional Language) Teaching Assistant.

Recently I have started working in a bilingual preschool. I am also a personal home tutor.

I have recently discovered the wonderful world of technology in education and blogs. I hope this will improve my professional development. Inspired by Nik Peachey, I believe educational technology is a powerful tool, if not the most powerful. That was a real eye opener. As I am constantly trying to develop professionally you can also find me on twitter (@AdriannaKow) where I follow many interesting educators who constantly provide useful tips.

I am very passionate about teaching. I believe ''knowledge is power'' and my role as an English teacher is to make a difference in students’ lives.
