Ashley holds a BA from the University of Toronto, an
MSc from the London School of Economics, and an
MA from the University of Southern California, all in
interdisciplinary and difficult-to-summarize social science
fields.

Her areas of interest include globalization, demography,
migration, the post-Soviet sphere, diplomacy, intelligence,
technological determinism, the Canada-US border,
space exploration, freedom of expression, socio-political
polling, and informal economies.

Having returned to Toronto after a year in the former
Soviet Union, she is now a consultant at a national market
research firm.
