Afolabi Williams is an international development professional, humanitarian, social entrepreneur, socialgood advocate and a youth activist. He is a passionate volunteer with key interests in skills development, inclusive education and youth development. He has a practicing experience of over five years.

With a background in Computer Science and Civil Leadership and Social Enterprise, Afolabi is an alumni of Nigeria’s foremost premier institution, University of Ibadan, and Regional Leadership Center GIMPA-Accra, respectively.

Beginning his career in Business Development at Skye Bank Plc. for 3 years, he subsequently interned for Getmobile Technologies and Nigerian Airspace Management Agency Lagos. His interests in research and development forthwith complement his work with Springfountain Consulting, and African University of Science and Technology, Abuja.

He has worked with CARE Nigeria in Resource Mobilization and Communications, and currently works for Ubongo Learning Tanzania as a Content Coordinator for Nigeria.

He has an academic background in Engineering, IT, Business Development, Project Management, and Civil Leadership and Social Enterprise Management.

His single motivation and passion is to improve learning outcomes, particularly for deprived and underprivileged persons.

He serves as Global Youth Ambassador for A World At School (Theirworld International) championing the cause of deprived children to access quality education. He is a fellow of the President Barack Obama Young African Leaders Initiative and a Common Purpose UK Alumnus.

He spearheads Skills Beyond School Africa, Changemakers Network, and Mentoring Room.

Afolabi is a conformist of pan-Africanism, and has been on the board & management of some organization and initiatives across Africa. He recently served as President of General Assembly at International Youth Diplomacy Conference MUN Accra, former State Coordinator for African Youth Union Commission Oyo State, Spokesman and Deputy Coordinator for Not Too Young To Run Movement Oyo State, and Chairperson for YALI Network Oyo Steering committee. He participated in several international conferences such as African Philanthropy Forum (2017), COWAP (2018), IYDC (2017 &2018), Post-COP 23 Workshop (2018), etc.

He’s a recipient of YALI Network Oyo Award (2018), Benin Republic IYDC Award (2018), UI Mellanby Award (2018), YALI Leadership Award (2017), JCIN-UI Most Outstanding Person Award (2016), and a host of others.
