Alan Williamson

Oxford

I write about videogames and technology, focusing on the intersection between games, culture and the 'real world'. I lived in Northern Ireland for eighteen years, Edinburgh for six, and now live in Oxford.

I am the founder and editor-in-chief of Five out of Ten, co-founder of Split Screen, and also help with Critical Distance and VideoBrains. In 2014 I released my first book, 'Escape to Na Pali: A Journey to the Unreal', co-written with Kaitlin Tremblay.

My work has appeared at the New Statesman, Eurogamer, Kotaku, and many more exciting places. I'm always open to new working opportunities.
