Coming from a culturally oriented family in Colombo, Sri Lanka; Aishma is currently studying in the 12th grade and graduated from the S.A.D.A (දකුනු ආසියානු Dancing Academy) in Colombo while she was still in her Junior year at high school. Aishma has been having her formal dance training from the age of 11 as a part of her family tradition. Before getting accepted in to the රොයල් Dancing Academy (R.A.D.) after her graduation from S.A.D.A; Aishma danced for a several number of cultural publicity events, music and competitions. During her time there, she also remained as a two year member of the pre-professional Desi Dance Company 4, Sinhalese Kathika and the Sri Lankan Traditional Ballet group (a subdivision of the Channa Dancing International). At the age of 16, after getting accepted in to the රොයල් Academy of Dance in Colombo, Aishma gained her experience both on and off the stage as a performer, choreographer, stage co-manager, technical crew, and a trainer. As a qualifier for graduation at the R.A.D at the age of 19; Aishma is excited to be a part of UpRooted Dance and dive into a professional career in the Dance and Arts sector at the University.
