A highly regarded member of his local community, Minnesota legal professional Alan Bernick holds a number of leadership roles in charitable institutions. An active member of the Temple of Aaron Synagogue in Saint Paul, he serves as an officer and member of its board of directors' executive committee. A life-long resident of Minnesota, Alan Bernick is a member of the Leadership Circle of the Twin Cities Cardozo Society, an affinity group of legal professionals affiliated with the Jewish Federation of Greater Saint Paul and the Minneapolis Jewish Federation.

An attorney by profession, Alan Bernick attended the University of Minnesota Law School. After receiving his juris doctor, he joined the law firm of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly, LLP, and later became partner. In 2000, he became general counsel of Andersen Corporation, also known as Andersen Windows. He soon earned promotion to senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary.

He has earned a number of professional accolades for his legal expertise, including listings in Woodward White's Best Lawyers in America and Marquis's Who's Who in American Law. He also holds an AV Preeminent rating, the highest available, by attorney rating system Martindale-Hubble.
