I was the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Sports Development Manager. The position consists of facilitating, educating and collaborating with National Federations and NGB’s to develop their Olympic pipelines for development and performance. During the last four years my responsibilities include planning, coordinating and implementing educational, practical programs and courses for coaches’ education and high performance at the International level. Prior to this opportunity I was the USA Triathlon Coaching Education Manager and National Training Center Program Director. I have 18 years experience in Hospital based Wellness Centers and with the International Triathlon Union, USA Triathlon and as a triathlete, 6 Hawaii Ironman and 2 XTERRA World Championships. I have a vast amount of experience in the medical and fitness field and with Olympic triathletes. I have been a part of the last 3 Olympic Games. I have worked with, led and taught high performance teams, athletes and fitness staff about testing and training. I was ACE and ACSM HFI certified. I am currently a Level 2 International Triathlon Union (ITU) Coach and Level 4 Facilitator (Training the Trainers). Both of these are the highest certifications recoginized by the International Olympic Committee as the highest Coacing and Facilitator certification ITU has. I colpleted the USOC Olympic Coaching college and the USA Triathlon Level III Elite Coaching certification. I was also in the US Army Special Forces as an Airborne Green Beret for 3 years.
