Born 2nd May 1982 in Campina Grande, Paraiba-Brazil, Alberto Mina got his 1st taste of martial arts from the tender age of five, where he started Judo under the instruction of Roberto Fialho. He continuted with Judo and at the age of 13 he discovered Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Alberto took his Black belt in Judo in 2003 with an impressive 9.9 exam result, In 2005 he was awarded his black belt in BJJ under Roberto Fialho and supervised by Carlos Gracie Jr. Before debuting in Mixed Martial Arts in 2005 for the Jean Silva Team, Alberto lived and trained out of Rio De Janeiro and sao Paulo. he has trained with the likes of Carlos Gracie Jr, Fabio Feitsosa, Nino Schembri, Fernando Tererê, Andre Galvao and Vinicius Draculino. Alberto is the current reigning UCMMA Welterweight Champion with an undeafeated professional MMA record of 10-0.
