Alejandro Malespin

A native of Nicaragua, Alejandro Malespin has had an extensive career providing private wealth and asset management services to clients in Mexico and other Latin American countries. He currently serves as Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager of the Mexico Team at Credit Suisse Private Banking Latin America in New York City, where he works closely with high-profile clients as a trusted financial advisor. Alejandro Malespin also takes part in a small team that has helped Credit Suisse's revenues and assets grow substantially since he joined the company in 2012.

Malespin majored in Economics at the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City and graduated magna cum laude in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science. He later pursued graduate studies at Harvard Business School, where he was an active member of the university's Latin American Club and earned his Master of Business Administration in 1997.

Prior to his current position with Credit Suisse, Alejandro Malespin worked as a private banker at well-known institutions such as Chase Manhattan Corporation and JP Morgan. Serving in executive positions on the Mexico Team at JP Morgan private banks in New York and Houston, Alejandro Malespin grew his books of business to a leadership position. He also briefly served on the Andes Team at JP Morgan, where he was instrumental in generating a considerable amount of assets under management (AUM) for the team.

Outside of his thriving career, Alejandro Malespin devotes his time and energy to Christmas in Granada, a charity he founded and organized with a Catholic diocese in Granada, Nicaragua. This philanthropic organization provides food and other aid to Granada's children living in poverty and also throws an annual Christmas party, handing out toys to children whose families cannot afford to buy presents. Married with two sons, Malespin enjoys skiing and playing golf in his spare time, as well as reading the works of authors Ayn Rand, John Steinbeck, Ruben Dario, Friedrich Hayek, and Ludwig von Mises.
