I’m Alessandra, and I research and share stories about Food and Culture.

As a Master's student in Cultural Sustainability at Goucher College, my focus is twentieth century Popular Culture, with interests including Food in the Media, LBGT identity in the kitchen, museums & public programming, and alternative forms of education.

Beyond the purely academic realm, I work in theater. I like unconventional and experimental ways of connecting local pasts to the present. Recently I helped create an oral history archive at a local elementary school and am currently preparing to launch a podcast looking at the history of food on television.
