Alex Schendell

Alex Schendell is the CEO of the retail consulting company Harvest Group of Boston. When Alex Schendell began working at Best Buy Co., Inc. in 1996, he embarked on a career path that would make him a respected professional in the electronics retail industry. Between 1996 and 2006, Alex Schendell was gradually promoted from the position of Assistant Manager to Vice President of Sales. Over his 10-year career at Best Buy, he drove market share up from 17 percent to 21 percent and exceeded targets in the areas of profit, customer loyalty, and employee engagement.

After his successful tenure at Best Buy, Alex Schendell was recruited by the Moscow, Russia-based Eldorado LLC. There, Alex Schendell was given the formidable task of managing sales teams throughout Russia, the Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, as well as overseeing all company sales, training, and service strategies to drive revenue. Although Eldorado was a leader in electronics retail, it received the lowest rating for customer service out of eight competitors in 2006. After a year of operation under the direction of Alex Schendell, who spurred the growth of customer service training and support, Eldorado rose to first among its peers in customer service. During his two years at Eldorado, Alex Schendell also spearheaded the development of the company's online store and installation and repair services, now the largest in Russia. These two additions to the company alone have grossed over 50 million dollars.

Returning to the United States, Alex Schendell and two of his former colleagues from Best Buy and Eldorado formed the Harvest Group of Boston. Collectively, the three partners have over 30 years of industry experience. They offer a full menu of consulting services in the areas of Installation Services, Organic Growth Strategy, Inventory Control, Retail Operations, Marketing, Sales Training, Merchandising, Service Center Operations, Operational Modeling, Product Assortments, Cost Controls, and other individualized services depending on the needs of the client.

Alex Schendell holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
