Alex Pawlowski, EIT

Virginia Beach, Va

I'm a fourth year at the University of Virginia completing a Double Major in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science concentrating in Material Science. I have a huge passion for sustainability in mobility planning, energy use, green building design, sustainable agriculture, and nature conservation. Combined with my automotive experience, I want to help develop the next generation of powertrains with advanced materials and electronic design.

I compete for the Triathlon Team at the University of Virginia, having competed in 12 triathlons and 2 National Championships across 5 states. While I may have a lot of involvements, each one helps to exercise my diverse passions and help prepare me for a dream career.

Next year I will be attending the University of Tennessee earning a PhD in Energy Science and Engineering with the Bredesen Center in partnership with Oak Ridge National Lab
