Alfrie Hudson

Alfrie Hudson is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations and Urban Studies. Having a passion for Dance and Service, Alfrie began The Movement of David in 2008 solely to provide spiritual dance lessons for the community. Alfrie has lead specific programs concerning community involvement and enrichment such as the Urban Semester Program and the Project Affinity. Born and raised on the southside of Chicago, Alfrie has created a network outside of her home town reaching with her husband here in Cleveland as a current home. She has extensive experience with working in collaborative settings and has been recognized by colleagues and peers for her ability to interact with people from all walks of life. With a passion for Community Outreach and Event Planning, having the experience as a Community Outreach Intern with Medical Mutual has allowed her to gain firsthand experience with planning implementing and evaluating events on a large scale. Participating with events such as Make a Wish Walk for Wishes, Kick It for Children’s Cancer and The Fest 2013, has allowed her to make an impact one step that a time. Through her involvement with the Office of the Community Outreach at Baldwin Wallace University, she has had the opportunity to experience the National IMPACT Conference in 2013 and serve as the Social Media Coodinator in 2014. Closely working with IMPACT she found a love for service all over again! She traveled to Jinotega, Nicaragua in the summer of 2014 to Service children in the area of literacy directly following her graduation with a Bachelors in Arts. Having served as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank she now works as a Client Help Specialist with the Great Cleveland Food Bank serving the community connect with resources and Food Stamp (SNAP) Outreach.
