United States-born and raised Alice Hayley Walsh headed down to Scotland in the not-so-far 2011 to pursue a degree in Journalism at The University of Edinburgh.

As a result of this endeavour, one year insomnia and persistent introspection - her debut novel A Poker Game of Love was born. A deep admirer of a cut-through style of writing that dissects reality in its very core, Alice's novel fits well in her understanding, disappointment, and ultimately acceptance of people's insecurities, inabilities and shortcomings on a deep personal level.

Having recently graduated and with more time on her hands than usual, Alice is currently taking refuge in the wonderfully vast world of social media - a situation her introverted nature is thriving on.
