I am an environmental scientist, knitter, wanderer, and occasional gardener. Always a fervent supporter of public transit, cycling, local businesses and local food & agriculture.

A plant nerd with an office job; as an erstwhile forest researcher and carbon offset policy developer, I can tell you some cool things about Alberta's wilderness AND biochar! ... also about the nuances of developing voluntary emissions offsets.

I'm an environmental generalist: I've worked in and continue to be interested in regulation, policy development, sustainability, biodiversity, reclamation, climate change mitigation & adaptation, and community betterment.

Please find me on Twitter if you want to interact. I'm a terribly useless blogger, but I will gladly engage in discussions about all things environment and nature. ... and maybe knitting, too... 140 or 280 characters at a time!
