I'm a global journalist with Midwest roots currently working at China Daily, an English-language daily newspaper, in Beijing, China.

My reporting has sent me across the globe covering everything from local issues to hot, international subjects. I've been a multimedia political reporter for the The Cedar Rapids Gazette and covered the state legislature in Des Moines.

I've covered Texas politics in Washignton D.C. for the Houston Chronicle and I've dabbled in a variety of mediums including radio as a student producer at Iowa Public Radio.

I got my start at University of Iowa student newspaper, The Daily Iowan, working as a metro editor, projects editor, and metro reporter covering university and local politics.

When I'm not traveling or working, I'm earning a degree in political science and journalism at the University of Iowa.

Prior to my recent journalistic work, I have experience in community organizing, photography, and design.
