I work at The BIG Partnership, which industry bible PR Week ranks as the largest communications agency in the UK outside London.

According to my dad, I get paid to 'mess about on the internet', and while I guess there is some truth to that, I mostly spend my time advising our agency's clients on how they can get value from using social media, marketing and communications to improve into the way they operate. I regularly speak on these subjects at conferences, industry events and in the press. I also sit on the Council for the Marketing Society in Scotland.

Outside of work, I live in the country with my wife and two young children. As parents, we seem to spend a lot of time trying to teach our two and four year olds that chocolate cake is not a staple choice for breakfast, though I fear we're fighting a losing battle. Living in the country also allows me to indulge my passion for cycling. I'm also a Board member of Scottish Cycling, which is the governing body for the sport in Scotland.
