Allie Ditkowich

When I was a child, I would often have my mouth 'washed' out with soap after uttering a word or phrase deemed inappropriate for my age. One day, post having my mouth washed out, I asked my mother if I could try a different flavor next time. I haven't had my mouth washed out since. 

I live my life and write about it. That's pretty much me in a nutshell. I aspire to write all that there is to write in the world in the form of screenplays for television, film and stage with the possibility of a few books sprinkled on top. No idea is too farfetched, outrageous or odd for me. I plan on taking my ideas and creativity to the deep depths of comedy and beyond.

My knowledge and experience has granted me the opportunity to have interned with Conan, MTV, The Fred Silverman Company, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Bravo. My interest in social media has attracted the eye of my own Univeristy, and I now Tweet for them in addition to my own personal account. I have my own blog "The Life of A Ditk" as well as my Tumblr, "The Daily Ditk," both of which you can check out below. I have also written for several campus publications and a blog or two. Spreading myself thin is like second nature to me and I love to be as involved as possible especially if writing is part of the job description.

Using the skills I have obtained while interning and taking classes at SU I plan on becoming a comedy/television writer. I am also highly interested in development as well as production, and would love to have one of my own creations on the tube some day.

I am currently a student at Syracuse University majoring in both Television, Radio & Film and Writing & Rhetorical Studies and will be entering the professional world once and for all in May 2012.
