Alfred Hicom Dedaseis a Senior High School educator, community leader, and cultural advocate based in Magallanes, Sorsogon. He earned his degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in Chemistryfrom Sorsogon State Collegein 2004. He later pursued a Certificate of Teaching in Araling Panlipunanfrom Bicol Universityin 2009 and took graduate units in Master of Education, Major in Instructional Methodsat Saint Louise de Marillac College of Sorsogon.
Currently serving as Teacher IIand ALS/SHS Coordinatorat Magallanes National Vocational High School.He used to teach at Bagatao National High Schoolfrom 2007 to 2020.
He is also deeply involved in civic and church-based work. He chairs the Commission on Media for Evangelizationat Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, and serves as Vice Presidentof the Municipal Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (PNP MPS Magallanes). He also serves is a council memberof both the Municipal Tourism Counciland the Local Culture and Arts Council.
A committed cultural advocate, Alfred H. Dedase served as Project Coordinatorfor the School of Living Traditions on Bicol Oral Traditions in Behiain 2009—an initiative of the National Commission for Culture and the Artstogether with the Barangay Council of Behia. He actively contributes to the preservation and promotion of Bicol heritage, particularly through his annual involvement as a core group memberin organizing the Magalleones Festival Cultural Night. His efforts also extend to the digital promotion of Bicol oral traditions and participation in cultural events such as the Bagatao Festivalin Bagatao Island.
In addition, he is the Acting Secretary and a Founding Memberof Bulalangaw de Parina, Inc. (formerly Parina de Magallanes), a community-based organization focused on advancing LGBTQIA+ rights and empowering the LGBTQIA+ sector at the local level.
His professional and civic engagements reflect a deep-rooted commitment to education, cultural preservation, social justice, and inclusive community development.
