ALAN SHEN

Experience Design Lead in San Francisco, California

Hi there! I'm a product design leader that loves consumer digital entertainment experiences. My work has spanned products for televisions, mobile, web, VR/AR, and gaming. I particularly love working on emergent platforms or “v 1.0” experiences and figuring out how to enable the best work from designers to create magical experiences.

I've been deeply involved with launching initiatives such as the Xbox 360, Zune, Zune Originals, Kinect for Xbox 360, Xbox Smartglass, and Hulu Plus and YouTube for Xbox Live. In 2013, I joined LG Electronics and managed the design team responsible for the LG webOS Smart TV platform announced at CES in January 2014. Since then, I've held design leadership positions with Atheer Labs and Google Fiber.

I most recently was involved with a number of projects at Riot Games, holding UX design leadership roles on the player platform team, and a newly announced title, Project L.

I'm originally from Toronto, Canada, and I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics from the University of Waterloo. After living in the Seattle for 15 years, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in May, 2011 where I reside today.

When I'm not playing around with gadgets, or taking pictures of food, you'll usually find me on one online on one of the services below.

LoL Summoner: Sh3nSh4dy

My Motto: Ask for forgiveness, not permission...
