Student Affairs Professional in Salem, Massachusetts

I always knew that my place in this world was in the field of education. After I graduated Rutgers University in New Jersey, where I studied Communication and English Literature, I committed myself to a career in Student Affairs. As a member of Salem State University’s 2016 cohort for the Higher Education in Student Affairs program (HESA), I have been able to travel and live in Massachusetts, Tennessee, and New Hampshire while working at various institutions. I value my experiences in this program as it has made me identify my most important personal values- collaboration, innovation, and the ability to welcome change.

My goals for my career involve contributing to making big changes in the world of Higher Education, with special interest in Student Union Management, Commuter and Off Campus Student Life, and Student Leadership and Training.

My goals in life can easily be summed up by my favorite author, Mitch Albom, from his book Tuesdays With Morrie:

“The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”
