Alana Marie Edmunds is a tech lead, blogger, digital native, and millennial currently living and working in New York City.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Syracuse University, Alana has a B.S. in Information Management & Marketing. At SU, she was awarded '08 Homecoming Queen, Promising Young Technologist by TACNY, and an Undergraduate Research Award by the Computing Research Association.

Alana spent her early career holding various IT project management roles at GE. A graduate of Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP), she worked on projects across the US, including Atlanta, Houston and Albany, NY, while speaking and mentoring senior executives around the world on millennials, social media and life as a digital native. After graduation, Alana took a role as the IT leader for Recruiting, Staffing and Health, where she led strategy and custom application development for 3 of GE Energy's largest businesses.

After GE, Alana entered the digital agency world (and NYC!) as a Tech Lead at Big Fuel, a social media agency, in the technology department-where she managed technical projects for clients such as Chevy, T-Mobile, Philips, Microsoft, The Children's Place, and Cadillac.

Now she is a senior technical project manager at Usablenet, the leading mobile transformative technology company.

Originally hailed from Perrysburg, Ohio, Alana is the oldest of seven children, and when she's not working enjoys blogging, cooking, youtube videos with cute dogs, red wine, anything at lincoln center, and catching up with her brothers and sisters, who are curently scattered around the US.
