I was born and raised in Boston, MA. After finishing Boston Latin High School I moved to Atlanta, GA to attend Morehouse College, where i majored in African American Studies. After getting my B.A. I moved to PA to get my Masters from Clarion University of PA. I have studied Human Rights in South Africa and been involved in Human Rights in Brazil. Professionally, I have taught Africana Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. I have served as a teacher for at-risk youth. I have also been a Clinical Supervisor for young people in the criminal justice system for over two years. I am married and I have a young son
