Born with a love of travelling, and exploring, I lived in Chile for eight years and am currently literally stuck in India and heading back to the UK very soon. I am interested in sustainability, off grid living, permaculture, science, astronomy, music. I play guitar and surf when I can. I post on Twitter now and then.

Macondo is a fictional town described in Gabriel García Márquez's novel, One Hundred Years of Solitude. I read this book a few years ago when I was living in Chile. It is full of colour, painted houses and slightly crazy yet creative people. I fell in love with the place in the book and it has been an inspiration for me ever since.
