Anderson Ozakpo

I am Ozakpo, Anderson Akpowowo, a Microstrategy Consultant, a Co-founder of technext.ng –a tech blog with an African viewpoint– and a Business Intelligent Specialist at Smile Communications, who currently lives in Lagos, Nigeria.

As a royal priesthood with passion for service and exemplary leadership, I consistently, in all the spheres of leadership wherein I have served, seek to be the exemplar of a straight-forward, people-oriented, goal-driven personality with a high nous for peculiarity. As a result, have both consciously and unconsciously inspired minds in team-spirit towards excellence through responsibility, accountability and integrity.

I started out as an Event Coordinator and General Secretary to NAAS –a students’ association in Babcock University and only a year later, soared to the heights of student politics as the President, Babcock University Students’ Association (2012-2013) during which, amongst many others, completed a N16m road network within the Babcock Law School (Iperu Campus) and carried out other capital projects and events, in all, well over N21m which was generated through students’ contribution and external sponsorships. Since then, have served twice in the capacity of a president. I am currently an Assistant to the Personal Ministry Director in a religious institution in Lagos Mainland.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, I have gained experience in data mining, representation and interpretation. During which I;

-Supported the Product Manager to develop new products that contribute a monthly average of over 40% to data revenue.

-Supported the Customer Retention Manager to reduce churn and drive re-connection up to 300% in January 2017.

-Provided cross functional support to all business users in form of reporting and analysis, developing templates and building business cases.

I currently provide support to the Management Accountant, Financial Planning and Budgeting in Smile Communications, Nigeria.

My interests range from technology to design, data to actionable insights and imagination to writing.

It is my desire that the life I live will be an inspiration for my generation and a legacy for the ones to come.
