Andrea Trudeau, M.S.Ed. (@Andrea_Trudeau)

I am a National Board Certified Teacher (EA/ELA), current AISLE Professional Development Chairperson, CoSpaces EDU Rockstar Ambassador, and 21-year veteran in education with a variety of teaching roles at Alan B. Shepard Middle School in Deerfield District 109. Currently, I am a self-proclaimed "no-shh librarian" working in an active learning commons that breaks free of what is often thought of as the stereotypical library, embracing creativity, collaboration, risk-taking, and fun. I am incredibly passionate about project-based learning, literacy, innovative digital tools and resources, as well as the Maker Movement. Most importantly, I believe firmly that the learning commons is the heart of the school, and I work diligently to help all those in my school community feel welcome, valued, and connected.
