Andrei's academic career started at his Alma Mater in Odessa after obtaining PhD. In 1997 he moved to the University of Groningen and in 2000 - to Leiden University in the Netherlands. In 2004 Andrei joined the University of Central Lancashire in UK, where he founded the Computational Physics Group. Andrei became Professor of Computational & Theoretical Physics in 2009. In September 2014 Andrei moved to the University of Lincoln, UK, to become the Founding Head of the School of Mathematics and Physics. Andrei's research interests are in computer simulation and theory of Soft and Active Matter.
