Born in Sao Paulo, Andre Martins studied guitar at Los Angeles Music Academy, California, with Frank Gambale, Jean-Marc Belkadi, Jeff Richman, Linda Taylor, Bill Fowler, Joey Basu, Jeff Paris, David Pozzi, Mike Shapiro and many many others great musicians. Andre has 3 CDs, 4 guitar books, produced 2 compilations about brazilian instrumental music, have a instructional DVD and just released his 3rd solo album, HARLEM, by Black Records, Rio de Janeiro/Brazil. He attended audio recording classes at UCLA, in extensions, and was working close with Frank Gambale for more than a year, during his time in Los Angeles. Andre had a monthly column at Cover Guitarra with a huge national sucess for more than 9 years. He plays and teaches open classes and masterclasses nationwide, supported by brands that endorsee him, like MusicMaker Custom Guitars, DiGiorgio nylon string guitars, SG strings, Meteoro Amplification, Lost Dog Picks, Graphtech Piezzo Systems (Tommy Guitars @ Brazil), Sergio Rosar Pickups and TecniForte Cables.
