MA Candidate Conservation Biology, Magazine Editor & Columnist, Environment & Sustainability Delegate for the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations

I am a highly motivated Master's candidate in Conservation Biology at Columbia University. In addition to academia, I am a Magazine Editor and Columnist, U.S. State Department Fellow, and Environment and Sustainability Delegate at the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations. With extensive global experience in private and nonprofit sectors, I have a diverse background in foreign language, writing, and ecological research. This makes me a dynamic young scientist and environmental professional.

Through my diverse academic experience, I have developed excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills for a versatile approach to varying levels of analysis. In addition to obtaining co-authorship on a peer-reviewed journal article in the Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, I have experience conducting fieldwork in the tropical forests of Puerto Rico. These research interests have led me to develop my MA thesis investigating the effect of drought on tropical forests in Puerto Rico and how this impacts water provision using a combination of remote sensing techniques.

As a State Department Fellow through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals in Germany, I worked in Munich in a professional, bilingual setting conducting market research for Hyve GmbH, an innovation consultancy. Several of the projects in which I played a key role were contracts with multi-billion dollar companies, in which I gave informed research-based recommendations to high-level executives.

For nearly two years, I have been a columnist for Impakter Magazine, a publication with a growing global readership. I facilitate an international platform to engage audiences by writing about socio-ecological justice issues, environmental design, and climate change.
