Andrew Wong has over 13 years of Marketing, Advertising, Media & Sales experience spanning from advertising agency, online media, digital technologies, to dot com start-up. Andrew currently heads up the Hong Kong operation of the #1 global media agency - Starcom MediaVest Group. He has nurtured relationships with some of the most iconic marketers, including Procter & Gamble, Samsung, Richemont Group, UBS, Mead Johnson, Novartis and Mannings.

Andrew joined SMG Hong Kong office late 2010 and held the position of Deputy General Manager of Digital prior to the current appointment as head of the Hong Kong operations. During his tenure as head of the digital business, he grew the business by more than twofold and diversified digital offerings to mobile app development, social management, and digital content creation. He has groomed the digital team from 2 to more than 15 digital professionals. Andrew has also led the team in further expanding the operations’ client portfolio and added new businesses from Novartis, Air New Zealand and Longchamp.

Andrew is a strong advocate in nurturing talent and committed in growing the Hong Kong media advertising industry. In collaboration with members of the core management, they led the entire Hong Kong office to achieve 100% qualification in the Google Certification Program, successfully making SMG Hong Kong a formidable all rounded media advertising force. Together they also introduced the Starcom MediaVest Group University Program in the Hong Kong office to train and empower the junior and entry-level colleagues, significantly increasing productivity and loyalty. He and the research team spearheaded the market's first joint study on how digital can build reach effectively with P&G, Pixel Media and comScore. In 2012, SMG Hong Kong amassed numerous recognition and awards won from Yahoo! Big Idea Chairs Awards, Kam Fan Awards, ROI Festival Awards, Festival of Media Global as well as Campaign’s Asia-Pacific Agency of the Year Awards.
