Andrew Baker Trustee

Germany

Based in Liechtenstein, Andrew J. Baker is considered by many as the resident expert in trusts. He read modern languages and law at the elite University of Cambridge and has no less than three Masters degrees to his name. Andrew currently serves as the managing director of Griffin Trust AG in Triesen. Prior to taking on duties there, he was managing director at CorTrust AG, in Vaduz. He also worked as a group director for the RPH Group (now Kaiser Partner).

During his distinguished professional career, Andrew Baker has faced various challenging situations, mostly caught between factions warring over beneficial entitlement to assets held in trusts settled by high net worth individuals. In one case of particular note concerning assets settled into trust by the late Georgian billionaire Arkady Patarkatsishvili, Andrew succeeded in protecting the assets from the spurious claims of the deceased's distant cousin Joseph Kay and his questionable Russian lawyer. Before retiring as trustee, Andrew was able to establish the rightful beneficial ownership of the deceased's widow and children.

Outside of his professional life, Andrew enjoys watching international rugby and cricket and following English Premier League football. He also participates in the EPL Fantasy League.
