Andrew Duma

Sydney, Australia

I have worked in various areas of aviation including Sky Diving, Ferrying, Freight, Charter, Aerial Survey and more recently Aero Medical Operations.

I have a strong sense of responsibility and I possess the ability to help and serve others. I believe my flexibility, adaptability, patience and communication skills enable me to work well with a range of people in a wide variety of environments. I have the ability to analyse, organise and supervise when faced with any given task.

I conduct myself in a professional and courteous manner during my day-to-day dealings with colleagues and clients. I seek to receive feedback and advice to enhance my skills and overall knowledge not only from upper management but also clients, to benefit the organisation, customers and my personal learning and development.

I graduated from the University of Western Sydney (UWS) with a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Majoring in Flying and Management. I am now completing my Master of Aviation Management degree with the University of Newcastle.

I also am involved with the Ukrainian Youth Association on a national and global level. The association sees me volunteering and organizing events on various levels to help Australian's become aware of the Ukrainian culture and heritage. On a global level, I am involved in coordinating social media and web presence for the association. http://cym.org

Another passion of mine is volunteering for Lifeline as a Telephone Counselor. I have a keen interest in psychology and human interaction. Volunteering for this amazing organisation has opened my eyes to a world which continues to make me grow more and more every day.

As part of my current role at the Royal Flying Doctor Service, I am proud to be the youngest pilot employed by the South Eastern Section. This came with challenges in itself, having to show members of the aviation community my commitment and passion not only to aviation, but also my hunger to keep learning and growing as a young pilot in the industry.
