Sparks. First there was sketching in kindergarten. And Mom's circle toast. Then in 5th grade there was the Commodore 128 - cars racing across the screen, homemade paint programs, password-protected pizza recipes. Then there was the Sears flying-V guitar and Metallica. The resulting pursuits were sublimated to various degrees: life drawing, sous vide cooking, behavioral detection of malware. The last one recently brought me to LA where I live with my wife.
