Andy Sternberg

Andy Sternberg is a digital strategist and online journalist with more than 15 years experience directing multimedia content programs, online marketing and digital campaigns.

Andy is a founding partner and CIO at Adler Integrated Marketing (AI), where he focuses on digital strategy, innovation and business development, working with clients from Staples Center to BottleRock Napa to Austin City Limits Live.

In recent years, Andy has emerged as one of the top digital strategists in the media, entertainment and nonprofit sectors and has developed programs for a diverse range of companies. As an independent contractor, Andy’s clients included Google, Sony Music, The X Factor USA, Fundly and Waze. He’s an adjunct instructor at the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism teaching a graduate-level course in digital/multimedia journalism.

As Head of Digital for Live Earth, he built global campaigns to raise awareness of the most critical environmental issues of our times, coordinating content and social media strategies and developing messaging for corporate and nonprofit partners as well as artists and celebrity spokespeople. He managed the transition to a new website design and monitored both technical performance and social media reputation for a dynamic brand. Working with a global team of local event producers, he created a truly international website made up of a set of localized sub-sites. He oversaw the production of all website and blog content, directed the Live Earth TV web series and oversaw a team of social media producers while initiating valuable interactive partnerships that helped to expand the reach of the brand.

He spearheaded online marketing for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Opening Concert Celebration for Control Room.

Prior, Andy was a content producer for Yahoo! News, programming front page content. He also served as News and Associate Editor for LAist, the top city blog in Los Angeles.

Andy received a Master’s Degree in Online Journalism from USC Annenberg in 2007. He wrote his thesis on geolocation and the future of maps and digital storytelling in online news and won an award for the Small Print Project, an academic website. He worked as managing editor for the USC Center on Public Diplomacy website and was web producer for Annenberg Radio News and News21.
