Andy Vitale

Andy Vitale is the VP, Head of Design at Taxwell, a leading digital tax platform serving over 90,000 tax professionals and 3 million DIY filers annually. He leads design across TaxAct and Drake Software, shaping intuitive, trustworthy experiences for tens of millions of returns each year. At Taxwell, Andy positions design as a strategic function, driving clarity, confidence, and simplicity across complex financial workflows.

With deep expertise in financial services, SaaS, healthcare, and tech, Andy has scaled global teams, fostered design excellence, and turned design into a competitive advantage. He has delivered AI-powered products that predict care gaps, optimize sales pipelines, segment customers, and automate marketing campaigns. Previously, he served as Chief Design Officer at Constant Contact, reimagining the platform’s AI-driven marketing capabilities, and as EVP of Design at Rocket Companies, where he helped evolve the business from a mortgage leader into a holistic financial platform.

Earlier in his career, Andy was GVP, Head of Design at Truist, where he scaled design outcomes during one of the largest banking mergers in U.S. history. He also led design globally at Polaris, delivering award-winning experiences for their innovative powersports brands, and drove AI-enabled innovation for 3M's Health Information Systems Division to improve quality and hospital operations.

A sought-after speaker and trusted voice in the design community, Andy has taken the stage at over 100 global events including SXSW and Adobe MAX, sharing real-world insights on design leadership, AI transformation, and organizational change. He holds a Master’s in User Experience Design from Kent State University, where he is also an adjunct instructor. Andy serves on the advisory boards for Kent State and the University of Wisconsin–Stout, and is a Founding Member of the Design Executive Council.
