A graduate of Butler and Marian Universities in Indianapolis, I first began my love affair with words and music as a toddler in church.
From there, I studied and competed in voice in high school and university, and parlayed my love of research, writing, and music into a career in TV and radio broadcasting.
I honed my news-writing skills at Clear Channel (Q-95, 103.3, & WNDE Sports) Indy's Music Channel, WTWO and more. While working, I obtained degrees and concentrations in English, Secondary Education, and Spanish, and began a long tenure with The Indianapolis Star as a contributor.
All the while, I have worked in schools as an English and Spanish teacher, all-grade sub, and writer/producer for high school fine arts.
At home, my (financial advisor by day/musician by night) husband Chris and I are parents to 3 boys (Luke, Roman, and Jude) and our ridiculously fluffy tomcat, Rocky Racoon.
Oh, and we LOVE Young Living oils (ask me all about 'em). The cat, however, does not... though, they keep the fleas at bay!
