My passion is information visualization. I love to create tools to help people find simple patterns in complex data. My Masters thesis work, while it deals with music, treats music as the data in order to create maps of music libraries. I did this project while at the MIT Media Lab in the Hyperinstruments group, and finished in August 2008.

In late 2008, I found my way back to the San Francisco Bay Area, and started working with the wonderful-and-marvelous Data Insight group at Nokia Research Center in Palo Alto. After a year and a half there, I went to LinkedIn, where I was a data visualization designer for two years. Now I do data visualization design and development as an independent contractor.
