Anna LaMere

Personal Trainer, Medical Transcriptionist, and rock-and-roll apparel website owner Anna LaMere splits her time among these professional endeavors and support charities during her free time, such as Operation Injured Soldiers and the Toys for Tots Foundation. She also holds membership with the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI), the largest organization in the world that ensures accuracy, privacy, and security of health data collection. Anna LaMere’s favorite professional pursuit is that of entrepreneur, and her business Rock Chix, Inc. showcases her talents in that arena. A lifelong rocker, Anna LaMere wanted to provide apparel specific to fans of rock and roll and heavy metal. Rock Chix serves as an online store featuring women’s and men’s clothing and includes the popular sleeveless t-shirts and tank tops that are revered by the rock-and-roll crowd. One black t-shirt for women features the Rock Chix logo, a metallic-silver line drawing of a rocker girl playing a guitar, on the right side of the chest. Another black tank top features the same logo framing the phrase “Rock Chix Backstage.” On the website, Anna LaMere also shares photos of her at events, such as a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert and Ozzfest, and meeting different rock stars, including Vince Neil, formerly of Motley Crue, and Bobby Rondinelli of B.O.C. Anna LaMere has enjoyed an eclectic mix of professional positions since she graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Physiology in 1991. Anna LaMere served as an Exercise Physiologist for the Wellness Institute of America from 1993 to 1995; Personal Trainer for Gold’s Gym and Powerhouse Gym from 1995 to 2002; Associate Account Manager for Thomson Tax & Accounting from 2002 to 2006; and Assistant Manager of Sales for L.A. Weightloss, Inc. from 2006 to 2007. In 2010, Anna LaMere received her A.A.S. in Medical Transcription from Kaplan University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and she is currently earning a certificate in medical billing there; she expects to graduate in July of 2011.
